The Rotary Club of Skaneateles Interact Club

.....The Interact Club of Skaneateles has been in existance since 1992. Interact is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young people age 14-18 or secondary-school-aged students. Our Interact Club works in conjunction with the Skaneateles High School, who provides a teacher to be co-chair of the club in conjunction with our Club's Interact Chair.

....All Interact Clubs carry out at least two service projects yearly - one that serves the school or the community and another that furthers international understanding. The Skaneateles Interact Club, which meets twice monthly, has been very successful in its projects and activities over the years.

....This year, they participated in the Crop Walk for Hunger, put on a Mr. Skaneateles pageant with proceeds to the American Red Cross, held a book drive to raise money for the Helping Hand fund, and held a hat and mitten drive collection for the Salvation Army. They also help the Rotary Club put on its biggest fundraiser, the Annual Father's Day Pancake Breakfast, by serving refreshments and blowing up balloons.

Our successes prompt us to urge all clubs to start an Interact Club!
