Clubs & Individuals Recognized District Governor Herb Jerry was proud of a number of accomplishments during his year in office. Among these, "We had a surplus in the budget, the first time in a few years; we didn't lose members and even gained a few". Presidential Citations (earned when the Club completed eight activities from the 4 Avenues of Service and submitted the Certification form to their District Governor) were awarded to the following 20 District Clubs (alphabetically listed):
The International Public Relations Award & the Exemplary Club Award were both won by Eastwood Rotary Club. (See their Club Page for more information on the work they did this year) The Community Service Award, given for their work on and sponsorship of a Habitat for Humanity home in West Utica, was shared by four Clubs: Utica, Greater Utica Sunrise, North Utica, and Oriskany-Whitestown. Individual thanks from the Governor went to: Stan Rubenstein (Conference Chair); Al Kalter (Youth Exchange Chair); Marlene Brown (Webmeister and Credo Editor); JoAnn Golden (Treasurer); Austin Beltrani (Argentina Friendship Exchange); Karl Herba (Literacy Golf Tournament); Paul Terwilliger (Literacy Committee); Mike Occippinti (Gift of Life); Don Reese (Group Study Exchange); Ralph Froio (Permanent Fund Donor); & Dave Peterson (Benefactors).
