Skaneateles Rotary Club, 75th years of service, and still going strong! - Rotarians & guests celebrated Skaneateles Rotary Club's 75 anniversary at the Skaneateles Country Club on Saturday, May 11th. Ten D7150 clubs and one D7120 club were represented. President John O'Sullivan officiated the event, which featured keynote speaker Dist Gov. Bruce Frassinelli and a club and Rotary historical review by Rotarians Jim Brown and Jim Messenger. Joe Wolczyk, past president of the Auburn Rotary Club, represented the sponsoring club, Auburn, with a rededication of the original club bell. |

![]() Rotarians Carol Anthony and Ward Villemot talked to Pancake Breakfast guests about the Iron Lung. Used during the early 40's, the Lung utilized a bellows system, breathing for an adult or child afflicted with the Bulbar polio virus. Polio destroys muscle tissue, and in some cases control of the lungs and breathing. |

YE students at the Skaneateles club at the kickoff of their YE Weekend
in downtown Skaneateles at Johnny Angles Rest. Many
Skaneateles, D7150 Rotarians, and host families were in attendance.
They visited Skaneateles Schools, ice skated at the Allyn Arena Friday
afternoon, and had dinner with host families. They saw the world famous
TC Timber plant (maker of wooden toys), swam at the Auburn YMCA, went
to the Stevens' household for Party Time. Sunday was breakfast and lunch
with host family and a departure for home early afternoon. |
