District 7150 Rotary International

Theme Party – Saturday, October 19, 2002

District Conference, Sturbridge, MA, Oct. 18-20, 2002

Dear attending Rotarians & Guests -

You're invited to the Rotarian as a Tacky Tourist

Party being held Saturday night,

October 19, after dinner, in the DG's Suite.

(Invitation Poem below by JoElyn Wakefield-Wright, Utica Rotary)

We've been proper, we've been good

We’ve done all the things we should,

On Saturday night our hair will come down

Come in your tackiest shirt or gown.

The music will be tasteless, door prizes downright bad

Insipid jokes and stories won’t make us sad

DG Don, that master of mirth, will lead the revelry

Rotarians galore will aid in the deviltry.
So bring along that funky chapeau,

Hawaiian shirts, stripes and plaids are a go.

A prize for the best Tacky Tourist garb you can hatch

Even two socks that just don't match.
 We’re Eradicating Polio in 2005

In 2002 we’ll connive

To eliminate ‘Good Taste’ for just one night

With a party that’s plain out’a sight!
