Highlights of the 2013 Rotary District 7150
Conference:
The Special District 7150 Conference Theme will
recognize District Rotary Clubs' Projects to benefit Veterans and those
with Special Needs. Clubs have been encouraged to submit a club project
for the benefit of Veterans or Special Needs for a Conference Award.
The Special Conference Award form for clubs to submit a project for
consideration is available on the District Website or in the Credo.
Rotary Clubs are also invited to sponsor Veterans and those with Special
Needs to attend some or all of the conference, with a special conference
rate (see this noted on the form). In addition there is a separate Non-Rotarian
rate for Clubs to invite guests to attend only the Saturday Evening
Gala Banquet celebration.
The Conference Theme will once again recognize Rotary's New Generations.
District Rotary Clubs' are encouraged to nominate youth in the district
to receive recognition with the Award for New Generations Excellence.
The New Generations Conference Award form for clubs to nominate a youth
for a New Generations Award of Excellence is available above.
This will be a time to celebrate the Rotary GSE in-bound and out-bound
teams who will both be in attendance at this year's conference. The
conference will allow those in attendance to make a special connection
to our District outbound team who has shared their vocations across
the miles to the land "Down Under" as well as to hear from
our visiting Australian team about the wonders of their land.
Discounts Available on an already Low Priced District Conference: Once
again Conference is located within the District and the rates are the
lowest in years. On top of that, there is an Early Bird discount for
Rotarians registering in advance for the conference (by February 20,
2013), so sign up early!
Options Available to Encourage Attendance by District Rotarians: There
is a special one day registration rate to encourage attendance by those
who are unable to attend the full 3 day conference. These are indicated
with the Categories "WIN" for the full 3 day conference, "PLACE"
for Saturday only, or "SHOW" for Friday only. There is also
a special Rotarian + Spouse/Partner 3-day Couple's rate to encourage
families to attend.
The Rotary District Conference is our opportunity to come together from
all across our District to celebrate our achievements, learn about the
many good works being undertaken by District Rotarians, and meet other
like minded, service minded individuals who operate in fellowship and
camaraderie under the Rotary banner to promote "Peace Through Service."
