Austin wears many hats, and wears each of them well. He
currently serves Area 5 of District 7150 as the Assistant Governor
and most recently was nominated for District Governor to serve
in 2004-2005. Jim has been President of the Tully club for two
separate terms, and is currently spear heading a new project that
hi Club is working on with the Cortland noon club called Rotary
Computers for Humanity.
An ordained American Baptist Pastor,
Jim has served both American Baptist and United Methodist congregations
since 1985. Currently he serves the Delphi Falls United Church
and is in his 11th year of ministry with this congregation.
Jim received his Bachelor of Science
Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, majoring in computer
management. He received his Master of Divinity from The Divinity
School of Rochester. Beyond his pastoral responsibilities, he
currently teaches Bible studies at two local nursing homes and
is a volunteer chaplain at Upstate and Crouse-Irving-Memorial
Hospitals.
Jim and his wife Joan have been married
for 28 plus years and have two sons, Philip-23, and David-22.
A little over a year ago they moved back into the house Jim grew
up in and share their residence with a basset hound named Coco
and a cat named Lightning.


District Team
Training Seminar
On March 6th we will have our District
Team Training Seminar. Coffee and donuts will be ready for you
at 8 AM and the training will be from 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM. There
will be two training tracks, one for Assistant Governors and the
other for District Committee Chairs.
Our Team training will be held
at the brand new Skyline Conference Center in Highland Forest

From Cazenovia -
South on Route 13 out of Cazenovia, to Route 80 (approximately
5.5 miles) West on Route 80 through West Woodstock and just past
Gooseville Corners (4-way stop), you’ll find it on the left
(aproximately 2 miles west of junction of 30/30) It’s well
marked on your Left. Enter the entrance, and the Conference Center
is about 1/2 mile into the forest.
From Hwy 81 -
Exit at Tully Exit (Exit 14), Take Route 80 East through Tully,
Fabius and Vencent Corners, for approximately 10 to 11 miles.
It’s well marked on your Right. Enter the entrance, and
the Conference Center is about 1/2 mile into the forest.
We have a special Prime Rib Luncheon
planned and your cost for this event is $FREE$. You are welcome
to mix a little business with pleasure and stay for an afterglow
of winter activities. Bring your cross-country skis, snow shoes
or dress warm and rent a pair to try some of Highlands many trails.
Maybe you will want to relax and let a horse drawn sleigh take
you on a tour. You will be the first to be introduced to our Centennial
Theme
It will be our goal at this training
seminar to establish roles and responsibilities for Assistant
Governors and introduce the resources available to implement them.
For Committee chairs, we will also focus on roles and responsibilities
and help you work on ways to integrate your committees with the
