PJ joined Oswego, NY Rotary September
of 2003. He served in various leadership positions within his
club and served as President in 2006-07. During his Presidency
his club earned a Presidential Citation from Rotary International.
On the district level he serves
as the Rotary Leadership Institute Chair and Assistant Governor
for Area 8. He was the sponsoring Rotarian Committee Chair for
the SUNY Oswego Rotaract in 2007. PJ is a multiple Paul Harris
Fellow, and a sustaining member and benefactor of the Rotary Foundation.
PJ recently retired as editor and
publisher of the daily newspaper of Oswego County, New York, The
Palladium-Times. Also, he held these positions at daily newspapers
in Cheboygan, Michigan and Saugerties, New York. He started his
career working for Oneida Ltd. as an Industrial Engineer. The
last position he held for Oneida was Overseas Product Manager.
Locally, he serves on the Boards
of the Oswego Harbor Festivals and Oswego County United Way. He
has been a member of The Professional Golfers Association of America
since April 1986 and is currently affiliated with the Central
NY PGA Section.
PJ and his wife, Gladys, a Paul
Harris Fellow, live in Baldwinsville, NY. They have 3 children
and 3 grandchildren.
