.....Ward
is a native of Flint, Michigan where he graduated from Central High
School and Flint Community College. He served four years in the US
Air Force, with primary duties in the Far East. Ward received a BS
in Electronic Engineering and attended graduate studies in business
administration at Rochester Institute of Technology.
.....Ward
has just completed 38 years in the manufacturing industry where he
held numerous positions which include engineering, operations, information
systems and product service management. He maintains contacts in the
professional world as a consultant and active memberships in The American
Product and Inventory Control Society and Association for Services
Management International. His career has provided him with many opportunities
to work in an international environment.
.....Over
his career, he has worked for Grand Trunk Western Railroad, Eastman
Kodak, Detection Systems and Welch Allyn Inc. In Skaneateles Falls,
NY. Ward has been privileged to serve his community on boards in active,
supportive and leadership rolls. These include; NY BOCES school board,
technical school and college advisory committees at both local and
state levels, and his church. He is currently an active member and
Treasurer of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Skaneateles, NY.
.....He
has been active in Rotary International since joining the Skaneateles
Club in 1986. He has served his club in many ways which include; President
in 1990-91, Board member, recording secretary for 7 years, Newsletter
Editor for 6 years and was instrumental in introducing Interact into
the community. Additionally, he has been active with District 7150
on various committees, as Governor's Representative, and Western Region
Coordinator. He is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and a Rotary Foundation
Benefactor.
.....Ward
and his wife, June, have three children and four grandchildren. They
make their home in picturesque Skaneateles, NY. In his quiet moments,
he enjoys fishing and a bit of flying. As a committed member of the
international community, Ward is dedicated to the Rotary principles
and objectives of making our world a better place through service
above self, high ethical standards, and the sharing of time, talent
and treasure with others in need.
