Preparation and Format for The Governor's Visit

Please:

  • Review Governor's Visit Schedule carefully (see directory)
  • Make every effort to stay with the date suggested
  • Ensure the date does not conflict with a club function or other program
  • Work directly with your Area's Assistant Governor or meeting schedule and details.
  • Prepare copies of; goals and objects, club budget and membership list for both the Governor and the Assistant Governor.
  • Encourage partners attendance

Purpose:

  • Review the club's goals & objectives
  • Express the club's thoughts and expectations of the District leadership
  • Articulate the Governor's goals & objectives
  • Establish a working relationship with the District Governor, Area Assistant Governor and club officers

Format - for meeting with District Governor and Assistant Governor 4

  • Half hour meeting with Club President and Secretary followed by one hour meeting with Board of Directors and committee chairpersons
  • Please plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to start of the Officer/Board meeting in order that we can start on time and coverall the required information
  • Please notify the DG if you are planning sometime special for their partner during the Officers/Board meeting
