The D7150 Community Service Committee, with the support of District Governor Bruce Frassinelli, have set up the following means of contributing to the families of victims in the New York area via a D7150 September Eleventh Fund for WTC Victims Families. You may contribute by sending your check to: The Rome Rotary Club Benevolent Fund, P. O. Box 4334, Rome, NY 13440 or by credit card payment on our secure shopping cart here. All donations will go through the Oneida/Herkimer Community Foundation, a 503C foundation which qualifies contributors to a tax credit, and then be sent to NYC to aid the families of victims: the brave firefighters and police officers who lost their lives trying to rescue people from the WTC, and to orphans left behind. Contributing Clubs and Individual
Contributions will be awarded a special Certificate of Community
Service Above Self. View list of contributors. September Eleventh Club

Chairpersons (to date): Secure websites: You will know when you are giving credit card information on a website when you see a gray box that says the following: "You are about to view pages over a secure connection. Any information you exchange with this site cannot be viewed by anyone else on the Web". When you click the OK button, you will notice that the http at the top has turned into https and you will see a locked padlock on the bottom gray area of your browser window. Thus you know this is a secure page. As we continue to assess the extent of victims' needs, the committee requests that each club appoint a September Eleventh Chairperson who has an email address to be the point person so we keep the information flowing back to Clubs in a timely manner. Please e-mail the name of that person to committee member Marlene Brown.
