Chair DGN Bruce Frassinelli shared the following information

ROTARY FOUNDATION MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of the Rotary Foundation is to support the efforts of Rotary International to achieve world understanding and peace through international, humanitarian, educational, and cultural exchange programs.

A MESSAGE FROM DISTRICT GOVERNOR HERB JERRY: The Rotary District 7150 Foundation is a bitter-sweet occasion. On one hand, we joyously acknowledge the many contributions of our district's major donors, benefactors, Paul Harris Fellows and sustaining members. Yet, on the other hand, we recognize that these contributions are sorely needed to help the world's afflicted.
Whether it's weather devastation, earthquakes or other natural disasters, whether it is the ravages of disease and pestilence, whether it is a cry for help from the afflicted in any number of places in the world, the Rotary Foundation, thanks to your generosity, is there to step in to help. But your contributions do much more. They support our Ambassadorial Scholarship program, the Group Study Exchange effort to promote international understanding and many other educational and humanitarian undertakings.
By using this annual dinner as a benchmark, it allows us to assess what we have done annually and to acclaim those achievements by honoring those who have made this testament possible. District 7150 Rotarians have contributed more than $1.6 million since the district's formation. That is an impressive amount and speaks volumes to the generosity and commitment you and our colleagues have made over the years.
To all of you who have given and to all of you who feel a strong bond to the mission and commitment of the Rotary foundation, thank you. Your selfless contributions do make a difference. - Herb Jerry, District Governor 1999-2000
