Dr. Robert Scott, Chairman of The Rotary Foundation Board of Trustees
Our May 29th, 2008 Keynote Speaker, Dr. Robert Scott, Chairman of The Rotary Foundation Board of Trustees
Thursday, May 29, 2008, District 7150 will celebrate the 2007-08 successes of our District's Foundation efforts, at The Beeches, Rome, NY. We will be honoring, that evening, Paul Harris Fellows, Major Donors, and Paul Harris Society members. Registration forms will be up soon.

Mark the date, as we are pleased and honored that, for the first time, we have the Chairman of the Rotary Foundation Board of Trustees, Dr. Robert Scott, as our Keynote Speaker! Make sure to plan to bring your spouses/partners, children/grandchildren, YE students and host families, Rotaract & Interact students, to an evening they'll long remember! - DG Marlene

Our District Foundation Committee approved a request from DG Marlene for a $100 from our DDF funds for qualifying District Rotarians. For every new Sustaining Member donation of $100 which is matched by $100 from your Club by April 30th 2008, we have pledged to match it with $100 (until the money we’ve set aside for this runs out – first come, first served)! If you have $800 toward your Paul Harris Fellow, and you & your Club do the $100 match, we'll also match that! Download the information form here.

These donations – earmarked to either the Annual Fund or the Polio Plus Fund - go to The Rotary Foundation in that Rotarian’s name, making these Rotarians Sustaining Members on their way to earning a Paul Harris Fellow. We will be recognizing these members individually, those clubs with 100% of their members contributing, along with new & existing Paul Harris Fellows, Multiple Paul Harris Fellows, Paul Harris Society members, and Major Donors, at our May 29th, 2008 Rotary Foundation Dinner Celebration, which will be keynoted by The Rotary Foundation Trustee Chair, Dr. Robert Scott!"

We've gotten approval for a 2007-08 District-wide Matching Grants Water/Literacy Project in Haiti - read more here - and a Computer project for girls/women in India. Download writeable Pledge letter for Haiti project & Contact DRF Chair Jack Luchsinger for program. - DG Marlene & Chair Jack

Notice of the Annual Foundation Seminar

Date: Saturday, October 20th, 2007
To:
D7150 Rotary Leaders
Subject: Rotary Foundation Seminar

Your District 7150 Rotary Foundation Committee will present a training seminar to inform our membership about the "What, Where, How, When, and Why" of our Rotary Foundation's important functions and activities. We hope every club will make this event important and show their support of our Rotary Foundation by sending at least one member, and more if possible, to attend this seminar.

To assist you and your club members to better understand The Rotary Foundation (TRF), and how to maximize your leverage through this organization to help create a more peaceful world, your District TRF has organized a seminar to highlight information about TRF, including presenters from other Rotary districts. This seminar is an excellent forum for current and incoming club leaders to build their knowledge of TRF, and for new members to gain a complete and meaningful understanding of our Rotary Foundation. Rotarians with Foundation expertise will be on hand to answer your questions about programs handled by TRF.
