Bob has been a Rotarian since 1979 and has served as Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President for many terms. He is an electrical engineer and cofounder of Research Associates of Syracuse (RAS) which works in defense electronics and web and computer security.

He is on the board of RAS, the board of Friends of Patan Hospital (Kathmandu,
Nepal) and is Treasurer of Marcellus United Methodist Church. He is married to Peggy and they have five grown children and 10 grandchildren.
