President, Rome Rotary Club Born on July 12, 1942 in Albany, New York. Father was the Passenger Agent at Union Station in Utica from 1946-50 when the family then moved to northern New Jersey. The rest of the adolescent years were spent here until going to college at Wesleyan University. Graduated in 1964, obtained an MBA majoring in Finance from New York University in 1966. Entered the Navy that Fall and spent a 27 year career as a Supply Corps Officer specializing in computers, finance and inventory control. Assigned to Navy ships and visited over twenty countries. Earned an additional MS degree at the Naval Postgraduate School in Computer Systems in 1976. Attended Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island in 1982. Retired as a Navy Captain in 1993 while Assistant Chief of Staff for Supply and Financial Management for the Commander, Surface Forces, U.S. Atlantic Fleet in Norfolk, Virginia. Spent the next seven years in Charlotte, North Carolina working for Sea-Land, Inc., a world-wide shipping company of containerized cargo. Moved to Rome, New York in 2000. Married to Dr. Sarah “Gale” Fellowes and has two children, Heidi and Erik. Joined the Rome Rotary Club in 2001. |
